Taking Down a Fence

Yay! We had a very productive Saturday.  One thing I love about living on a farm--whenever you start on a project, there are bound to be helpers that show up!  We started taking down the goat fence (the one I mentioned in this post) and within a few minutes, my dad and papa had both shown up to lend a hand!  Here's the crew getting ready.

And here's how we pull up the posts.  Justin ties the chain in a knot around the post.  The chain, of course, is hooked to the bucket on the tractor.
Then my dad lifts the bucket on the truck, which pulls up the post.

And then, Kyndall and Papa take the posts to the back of the truck (where they can be transported to the barn to be used later.)  It takes both of them 'cause those fence posts are just so darn heavy! :)

In case you're wondering what Libby was doing during all this.. she was inside in the cool.  You know that little diva doesn't like to sweat!

And now, all that's left to do is bush-hog that area so it looks all nice and neat.  I can't wait to share the before and after photos!
